Repair

A worn part does not finish a tool. What we do, what it costs, and how to send it in.

We repair what we made

Our steel, wood, leather and fabric products are all designed to be repaired, and spare parts are kept in stock. A worn part should not mean a replaced tool — whatever its age, we will look at it.

What it costs

If the fault came from manufacture the repair is free and the postage both ways is ours. The guarantee page sets out which cases those are.

Damage from use is charged for. We cannot quote for parts and labour without seeing the item: send a photograph first, we tell you the figure, and the work starts once you agree to it. If you would rather not go ahead, there is nothing to pay. In that case the postage to us is yours and the postage back is ours.

How to send it

Write to us from the contact page before sending anything. Include your order number and a photograph of the problem.

Some jobs are quicker than a repair: for a broken strap or a worn handle we may be able to send the part on its own and save you posting the whole thing. Tell us what has happened and we will say which is faster.

How long it takes

Repair times depend on the work and on the queue in the workshop. We tell you how long yours will take when it reaches us.
